Weirdly true. Things are just going well for a change and I have so many things coming up and happening currently that are putting me in a great mood! I've got a lot to look forward to! And before you go all “what goes up must come down” on me, click here and remember that the shit has come down. I’m just having a well deserved moment (or six) of up right now.
Things that are just awesome:
1. I just booked the sickest hotel rooms for Diana, Rob, Dave and I in Madrid. And as I told my travel companions, I don’t ever, ever, ever use the word “sick” to describe anything other than a fever. But this hotel my friends, is SICK. It’s the Eurostars Madrid Tower Hotel and I got the rooms for only about 100 euros a night! I found old dumpy hotels that were charging more than that. Some pics from their website…

2. Today I received my second performance bonus at my new work project. We receive bonus “points” whenever we do something extra great at work. The points are good to use at my company’s online store which has gift cards or actual items for purchase. So my new job loves me so much that I was able to purchase $ an undisclosed amount $ of Best Buy cards to go buy myself a new flat screen TV! I’m so excited because I’ve been watching television on my big tube television for years and now that I’m knee deep in Fantasy Football, I’m going to be spending a lot of time in front of the boob-tube this fall. So score one for finally having a nice TV!
3. August is over. Glad that’s behind me.
4. I survived an Earthquake and a Hurricane in the same week. Granted, so did 99.999% of the East Coast, but I still consider it a life victory.

5. On Monday, I got to stop at Take A Break, the ice cream stand in Tuxedo (also my first job ever) and got my most favorite treat in the whole world… a small twist cone with rainbow sprinkles. Mmmm heaven.
6. I rode in the elevator with my office crush today and he said my name. Twice. Swoon.
7. I feel like I’m in a good place. I got my fill of home and family last weekend. I’m going on a European vacation in two weeks (for two weeks!). I have a mini-bachelorette weekend this weekend (and we have off on Monday, bonus!). I love my job and my job loves me (such a nice change!). Friends are in a good place, family is in a good place, I’m in a good place.
Go forth and conquer.
